Boris Jordan, President and CEO of the Sputnik Group

Boris Jordan is the President and CEO of the Sputnik Group Ltd., which he launched in 1998. Mr. Jordan sets the strategic direction of the firm and is responsible for its overall management along with the Group's senior management. He is also President of Renaissance Insurance, a member of the Sputnik Group of companies; member of the boards of affiliated insurance companies in Russia and Ukraine.

From 2001 through January 2003, Boris Jordan led a team of Sputnik Group professionals in orchestrating a management turnaround of Gazprom-Media, Russia's largest media group encompassing the NTV national channel, the NTV Plus satellite pay-TV service and a number of other television, radio and publishing businesses. Mr. Jordan is widely credited with completing a management and financial turn-around of NTV during his tenure and enabling NTV to become the first major Russian network to turn an annual profit.

Prior to founding the Sputnik Group, Mr. Jordan was President and CEO of Renaissance Capital Group, which he co-founded in 1995, and built into Russia's first Western-style investment bank focused exclusively on serving the Russian market. Renaissance Capital brought together all forms of financial intermediation, including commercial banking, investment/merchant banking, asset management and insurance, and advised on many of the most prominent privatizations, acquisitions and securities offerings of Russian companies. Renaissance Capital and Mr. Jordan also sponsored the formation of the Sputnik Funds, which constituted the largest group of private equity funds invested in Russia's economy since the fall of the Soviet Union (over $500 million invested).

From 1992 to 1995, Boris Jordan was managing director, co-head of the Moscow office of CS First Boston.

In 1996 Boris Jordan was named among 100 Global Leaders for Tomorrow by the WEF. The same year under Mr. Jordan's leadership Renaissance Capital Group received a nomination of "Most trusted Financial Institution in Russia" from Euromoney Magazine.

In 1999, Boris Jordan founded and provided the majority of the funding for the Alexey Jordan Cadet Corps Fund. The Fund has been working since throughout the Russian Federation and gives financial support to the cadet schools.

Mr. Jordan received his BA from New York University.
